Sidekick- Pretty in Pink

Hello Everyone! We hope you all had a great weekend! As we mentioned in the sneak peak we are very excited to introduce a new segment to our blog called Sol Sister's Sidekick! This segment will allow us to showcase our friends style with a Sol Sister's twist!

Our very first Sidekick is Mari! We have always loved her style and her love for fashion so when we thought of doing the Sol Sister's Sidekick segment there was no question we wanted her to be a part of it! Her beauty is obvious and being in front of the camera was more than natural for her...

We wanted to play off Mari's youthful look so what better color to use than pink! The leapord leggings were a visual texture that brought an element of fun to the look. We finished the outfit with some peeptoe booties and a dressier clutch. We think that with a few changes like maybe a shoulder bag and ballet flats this could go from an evening look to a fun/casual day look.

Hola a todos! Esperamos que hayan tenido un buen fin de semana! Como habiamos mencionado en el adelanto de ayer, estamos emocionadas en presentar nuestro nuevo segmento llamado Sol Sister's Sidekick! (Complice de Sol Sisters) Este nuevo segmento nos permitira lucir a nuestras amigas, su estilo, con el toque de Sol Sisters.

Nuestra primera Sidekick es Mari! Siempre nos ha gustado su estilo y admirado su pasion por la moda asi es que no dudamos en hacerla parte de nuestro primer post de Sol Sisters Sidekick! Su belleza es obvia y el posar en frente de la camara es mas que natural para ella...

Quisimos jugar con el look jovial de Mari y que mejor color que el Rosa! Las mallas de leopardo anaden un elemento divertido al look. Finalizamos el outfit con unos botines y un bolso mas de vestir. Pensamos que con unos pocos cambios como un bolso de hombro y zapatillas estilo ballet el outfit se convertiria de noche a dia...

Neon Hot!

Hi guys! Sorry we ran a bit late with this post but we had some changes come up last minute...anyways without any more delays here is our most recent look!

We have been dealing with the summer heat already here in Phoenix and that inspired us to go bright...As you all know neon colors are very in for summer and we though it would be fun to pair this neon yellow top with a striped skirt. The belt was a piece Liz acquired during a summer we spent in Florence and it was the perfect piece to tie the whole look together!

Hola chicas! Disculpen que nos tomo un poco mas de tiempo agregar el post pero nos salieron algunos cambios al ultimo momento....de cualquier manera aqui esta nuestro mas reciente look!

Hemos estado sufriendo con el calor de verano aqui en Phoenix y ese calorsito fue quien nos inspiro a usar un color neon...Como todas saben los colores neon estan de moda para este verano y pensamos que seria divertido combinar esta blusa de color neon amarillo con una falda azul de rayas. El cinturon fue una pieza que Liz compro durante el verano que vivimos en Florencia y fue la pieza perfecta para combinar todo el look!

Dinos te atreverias a usar colores neon este verano? Nos encantaria saber que piensas...

Uptown Jewel Tones

Hi everyone! Just a quick side note to share with you all that we are excited on the new projects that are in the works for the blog! Definitely lots to look forward to!

Now on to this weeks look....If nature and uptown had a baby this is what we think it would look like! The colors scheme in the outfit remind us of the a forest full of rich jewel tones. The leather jacket and suede and leather material on the purse give it a rugged edge, while the heels and the ruffle in the dress remind us of how girly it is also! The accessories were very understated this time...just enough to play off the dressy vibe we were looking for.

Overall the composition reminds us that these contrasting elements can be so great together at creating something to talk about!

Hola a todos! Les queriamos comentar que estamos muy emocionadas por los nuevos proyectos que se estan realizando para el blog! Definitivamente bastantes sorpresas en el futuro!

Ahora continuemos con el look de esta semana...Si la naturaleza y la zona alta pudieran crear un bebe esto es como no lo imaginariamos! La gama de colores de este look nos recuerdan de un bosque lleno de colores fuertes. La chamarra de cuero y el cuero y gamusa en la bolsa  le da al look un toque mas masculino, mientras las zapatillas y el olan en el vestido nos requerda de lo femenino que es tambien! Los accessorios mantuvimos al limite...lo suficiente para continuar creando el look femenino que buscabamos.

La composition nos recuerda que estos elementos opuestos pueden ser una gran pareja en donde va a hacer que la gente hable acerca de este outfit!

Sneak Peak-Adelanto 5-13-2012

Work to Play

Today we bring you something different, it was suggested by one of our readers. She wanted to see how we would take an piece and turn it into two different looks. The key piece was the leopard skirt that allowed us to create two outfits, one more appropriate for the office and one for a more casual setting.

The office look consisted of a ruffled blouse wich added color and texture. The belt and other accessories enhanced the visual texture of the skirt without overpowering the look. The second look more appropriate for play consited of more comfortable pieces that would create a completely different feel for the skirt. The flats added a touch of color while still keeping the overal balance. The rest of the accessories were easy going enough to maintain the relaxed look.

Hoy les traemos algo diferente que fue sugerido por una de nuestras lectoras. Ella queria ver como tomamos una pieza de vestir y la transformabamos en 2 estilos differentes. La pieza clave fue una falda de leopardo la cual nos dio la oportunidad de crear 2 estilos de vestir. Un look mas adecuado para la oficina y el otro estilo mas casual.

El look de oficina consistio de una blusa con olanes la cual anadia color y textura al outfit. El cinturon y los otros accesorios realzaban la textura visual de la falda sin que dominara el look. El segundo look mas adecuado para jugar consistio de piezas mas comodas las cuales cambiaron la forma de ver a la falda. Los zapatos bajos anadieron un toque de color y al mismo tiempo mantuvieron un balance en general. El resto de los accesorios tambien mantuvieron un look relajado.
