Spikes/Studs Challenge

Hi guys,
Today's look is part of a challenge we participated in. The purpose of this challenge was to incorporate spikes/studs into the look. We decided to use the bolero jacket and after playing with it we decided to pair it with the leopard skirt because it enhances the details on the jacket. Basically, with the black/solid tank underneath allowed us to continue to place focus on the details of the jacket. Finally, we wanted to incorporate an unexpected element and thought the feather necklace in that specific hue added texture to the look. Enjoy and share with us your thoughts!

Hola chicas,
El  look de hoy es parte de un reto en el cual participamos. El proposito del reto era el incorporar picos o  clavos en el look. Decidimos usar un saco estilo bolero y despues de ver varias opciones optamos por usar la falda de lopardo ya que realza los detalles del saco estilo bolero. Basicamente, la camiseta de color negro debajo del saco nos permitio seguir poniendo el enfoque  en los detalles del saco bolero. Y para finalizar, quisimos incorporar un elemento inesperado y pensamos que un collar de plumas en el color que usamos anadio textura a el look en general. Disfruten y diganos que piensan!

Work to Play

Today we bring you something different, it was suggested by one of our readers. She wanted to see how we would take an piece and turn it into two different looks. The key piece was the leopard skirt that allowed us to create two outfits, one more appropriate for the office and one for a more casual setting.

The office look consisted of a ruffled blouse wich added color and texture. The belt and other accessories enhanced the visual texture of the skirt without overpowering the look. The second look more appropriate for play consited of more comfortable pieces that would create a completely different feel for the skirt. The flats added a touch of color while still keeping the overal balance. The rest of the accessories were easy going enough to maintain the relaxed look.

Hoy les traemos algo diferente que fue sugerido por una de nuestras lectoras. Ella queria ver como tomamos una pieza de vestir y la transformabamos en 2 estilos differentes. La pieza clave fue una falda de leopardo la cual nos dio la oportunidad de crear 2 estilos de vestir. Un look mas adecuado para la oficina y el otro estilo mas casual.

El look de oficina consistio de una blusa con olanes la cual anadia color y textura al outfit. El cinturon y los otros accesorios realzaban la textura visual de la falda sin que dominara el look. El segundo look mas adecuado para jugar consistio de piezas mas comodas las cuales cambiaron la forma de ver a la falda. Los zapatos bajos anadieron un toque de color y al mismo tiempo mantuvieron un balance en general. El resto de los accesorios tambien mantuvieron un look relajado.
