Viral Tuesday/Martes Viral- Michelle Phan- Draw my Life

Hello lovelies!

This is Liz from Sol Sisters. I wanted to share my favorite video I watched over the weekend with all of you dears. Inez and I were able to watch it together and both of us got sentimental at the same part within the video. I know, I know...we are a spcial pair. After we both got teary eyes, we started laughing like crazy because it was too funny that we both reacted at the same time :)

Have you guys heard about Michelle Phan? I just discovered her a couple of months ago and she has a beautiful soul, an enormous amount of beauty knowledge, and an inmense amount of talent.

Soy Liz de Sol Sisters. Les quiero compartir mi video favorito de esta semana. Inez y yo vimos el video juntas y tengo que admitir que las dos lloramos o nos pusimos sentimentales en la misma escena...Ya se, ya se...somos un par especial. Despues de que las dos nos pusimos sentimentales, nos pusimos a reir como loquitas porque nos dio risa el hecho de que las dos reaccionamos al mismo tiempo :)

Han escuchado de Michelle Phan? La acabo de decrubir hace unos meses. Michelle tiene una hermosa alma, bastante conocimiento en cuanto a belleza, y una cantidad inmensa de talento.

Sol Sisters Style- A fiesta of colors

Being that we live in the valley of the sun- Phoenix, Arizona well summer has been here for a few months now... but in some other places across the world it may barely start feeling like its official. In honor of that we thought it would be fun to create a colorful look that definitely looks like it belongs in summer!

Liz purchased this beautiful top on a past trip to Mexico. The detailing of it is pretty typical of some of the traditional styles that you find in garments throughout the country but what drew her more that anything to it was the vibrant orange color. Its definitely a plus that the top is so flowy and that it lends itself to be worn off the shoulder too. We paired the bright top with some more fitted denim shorts in a similarly vibrant blue violet. The final touches were the multi-colored wedges that add more pops of color and the stackable chunky bangles for visual interest.

Vivir en el valle del sol- Phoenix, Arizona significa que aqui ya es verano desde hace un par de meses...pero en algunas partes del mundo apenas empiezan a sentirlo officialmente. En honor a eso decidimos que seria divertido crear un look colorido que es representante de la temporada de verano!

Liz compro esta bella blusa en un viaje anterior que hizo a Mexico. Los detalles de la blusa son tipicos de los estilos tradicionales que puedes identificar en predas dentro del pais pero lo que le llamo mas la atencion a Liz fue el vibrante color naraja. Claramente es una ventaja que la blusa fluya y que se preste para poder lucir la por debajo del ombro. Combinamos la blusa con unos shorts ajustados en un parecido vibrante azul violeta . Los toques finales fueron las suelas de cuña el mulit color y las pulseras para agregar mas interes visual.

Beauty Thursdays- Clarisonic Opal

Liz of Sol Sisters wanted to share some of her favorite new products she has been using for the last couple of months. I want to be clear I have not been compensated for providing my true and honest opinion about the product below.

Liz de Sol Sisters queria compartir con ustedes uno de sus productos favoritos que ha estado usando por los ultimos meses. Quiero que sea claro que no hemos sido compensadas por la compania para proveer nuestra verdadera y honesta opinion en cuanto al producto en cuestion.

I started using Clarisoninc Opal at the beginning of this year after doing research on products that help with under eye bags, tighter skin, and overall skin rejuvenation. I have to say my skin definitely looks way more refreshed, tighter, and with more glow. The serum that comes with the Clarisonic Opal really makes a difference in what the skin looks like. I have tried other creams (I have to admit paying $65 seemed somewhat costly for just a 1.7oz serum bottle) but the anti-aging sea serum really works. I like how my under eye area feels and looks after applying the serum.
My momma always told me to invest and buy good products for your skin and face. I would personally recommend investing in the Clarisonic Opal due to the results I have seen in my own face. Definitely, do your research and acquire what works best for you and your type of skin but like I said, my skin has definitely improved since I started using the Clarisonic Opal 6 months ago. Do you have a favorite product you want to share with Sol Sisters?

Empece a usar Clarisoninc Opal l principio de este anio despues de haber investigado varios productos que ayudaran con las bolsas que aparecen debajo de los ojos, con una piel mas firme, y con un look de piel mas rejuvenecida. Tengo que admitir que mi piel se ve definitivamente mas joven, mas firme, y hasta con un extra brillo. El suero que viene con el Clarisonic de verdad que hace la diferencia en como se ve la piel. He tratado otras cremas (debo que admitir que pagar $65 por una botellita de 1.7oz se me hacia caro) pero el suero anti-arrugas en serio que funciona. Me gusta como me ha dejado mi area debajo de mis ojos y como se siente mi piel despues de aplicar el suero.
Mi mamita siempre me dijo que invirtiera en buenos productos para mi piel y en especial para mi cara. Personalmente, recomiendo que si tienen la oportunidad en invertir en el Clarisonic Opal debido a los resultados que yo he notado en mi propia piel. Claro esta hagan su propia investigacion en cuanto a que producto funcionaria mejor para su tipo de piel, pero como les he dicho...mi piel definitivamente ha mejorado su look desde que empece a usar Clarisonic Opal hace 6 meses. Tienen un producto favorito que les gustaria compartir con Sol Sisters?

One Piece Three Ways- Denim Shorts

It's always great when you add a piece of clothing to your wardrobe that you know is going to pay for itself! I mean who doesn't love a versatile piece of clothing that can deliver a look for any occasion. Today we are talking specifically about denim shorts!! Denim shorts are so perfect for summer and can be such a staple for achieving that casual summer look. Sol Sisters want to take it a step further and show you how to dress them up for those occasions were its to warm to do jeans or you just want to show some leg. Siempre es genial cuando compras una articulo de ropa y sabes que fue una buena inversion! A quien no le encanta un articulo de ropa que es versatil y que puede integrarse a un look para cualquier ocasion. Hoy estamos hablando especificamente del shorts de mezclilla!! Los shorts de mezclilla son perfectos para el verano y llegan a ser una prenda esencial para alcanzar el look casual de esta temporada del año. Sol Sisters quieren llevarlo todavia un paso mas alla y enseñarte como vestirlos para una ocasion mas especial donde tal vez sea muy caluroso portar jeans o simplemente quieres enseñar mas pierna. Los tres looks fueron creados al rededor de la misma prenda y realmente crean look unicos para casi qualquier tipo de ocasion que requiere vestir un poco mas formal.

Viral Tuesdays-Dove Real Beauty Sketches

Sol Sisters have been brainstorming on new segments to bring to you and came up with the idea of sharing some of our favorite videos we have encountered within the last couple of weeks. Sol Sisters watched the "Dove Real Beauty Sketches" video a couple of weeks back and loved it! The video made us realize how hard we all can be with ourselves. The reality that we create for ourselves needs to enhance our own reality/environment. We need to match how we see ourselves to how other people see us. By having a better perception of ourselves we can actually change our own reality and live a happier life!

Sol Sisters han tenido la idea de crear nuevos segmentos en donde compartimos varios de nuestros videos favoritos que hemos encontrado las ultimas semanas. Sol Sisters vio el vide de la marca de jabon Dove. El video se llama "Dove Real Beauty Sketches" (Dove, sketches de la belleza real). El video nos fascino! El video nos hizo reconocer como una como mujer o persona tiene una imagen algo negativa y personas alrededor de nosotras tienen una mejor imagen de la otra persona. La realidad que creamos para nosotras mismas tiene que mejorar nuestra realidad, nuestro ambiente alrededor de nosotras. Tenemos que trabajar en nuestra propia imagen. Al tener una mejor imagen de nosotras mismas estamos creando una mejor realidad y una vida mas feliz.

Sol Sisters Style- A pop of green

There's something about the classic pattern of houndstooth that just captivates me every time I see it. I came across this classic pencil skirt just recently and couldn't resist it so it came home with me! The basic black and white color scheme really lends itself to go with just about anything (we can't wait to
play with it some more). For its first pairing we decided to use it with this sleeveless
high-low top with collar embellishments. We finished off the look by adding a clutch in
white and these green peep-toe heels for a fun unexpected surprise.

Quedo captivada cada vez que veo el diseño de pata de gallo. Me encontre esta falda de estilo classico recientemente y no resisti comprarla! La combinacion de color blanco y negro es super clasico y se presta facilmente para combinar con todo (estamos super emocionadas de crear mas looks). Para la primera combinacion decidimos agregar esta blusa negra sin mangas con detalles en el cuello. Para terminar el look agregamos un bolso en color blanco y estas zapatillas color verde para crear algo un poco inesperado.
