Sidekick- Maylene in Paradise Part 2

Hi Everyone! Today we bring you the second part to the sidekick session we had with our dear friend Maylene! We have the opportunity to showcase her session from a trip we did with a close group of friends to a coastal town in Baja California, Mexico. With this look we wanted to maintain the relaxed feel you have while your on vacation. It was obvious we wanted to use color and the belt showcased on the dress was definitely our starting point! This belt was purchased by Liz during a recent trip to San Miguel De Allende, Mexico, its a beautiful beaded work of art done by hand by a local native woman there in San Miguel. We wanted the dress to feel casual enough for the setting but with the flexibility to be dressed up if you need it to be. The accessories were another opportunity to bring out more of the amazing colors in the belt.

Maylene we hope to have another opportunity in the future to work with you again, you were such a doll!

Hola a todas! Hoy les traemos la segunda parte de la sesion de sidekick que tuvimos con nuestra querida amiga Maylene! Tenemos el placer de compartir con todas la sesion que tuvimos durante un viaje que hicimo con un grupo de amigos a un pueblito en la costa de Baja California, Mexico. Con este look quisimos mantener el estilo relajado que acostubras a querer durante unas vacaciones. Fue automatico para nosotras el querer usar bastante color y el cinturon definitivamente fue un buen comienzo! El cinturon es una compra que Liz hizo durante un viaje a San Miguel De Allende, Mexico. Es una hermosa pieza de arte hecha a mano por una artesana local. Quisimos que el vestido fuera lo suficiente flexible para el ambiente de playa y para una cena mas formal si fuera necesario. Los accesorios crearon otra oportunidad para resaltar los colores del cinturon.

Maylene epseramos tener otra opportunidad de trabajar contigo en el futuro, fuiste un placer!

Feeling A Bit Floral

Even though we are still in summer here in the Phoenix valley...our mindset is definitely approaching fall. As we got ready to style this look we were definitively in a laid back kind of mood. The starting point for this outfit were the cool floral jeans Liz just purchased and pairing it with the solid white chiffon blouse was a perfect contrast. Not tucking in the shirt and adding the oxford shoes clearly stated a more relaxed look. To finish off  we added some bold silver accessories. Our surprise factors were definitely the neon pink top underneath the blouse and the bright textured bag Liz purchased in Mexico a few years back.

Aunque aqui en el valle de Phoenix todavia es verano...nuestra mente ya se esta preparando para el otono. Las dos estabamos en un animo muy relajado y quisimos mantener ese sentido con el outfit. La pieza que inspiro este look fueron los jeans con el estampado de flores que Liz recien compro. Combinamos los jeans con esta blusa solida de chiffon en color blanco creando un perfecto contraste entre las dos piezas. Al no meter la blusa dentro de los jeans y agregar unos zapatos oxford claramente definen un look mas relajado. Para terminar incorporamos unos accessorios plateados. Nuestros factores sorpresa definitivamente fueron la camiseta color rosa neon debajo de la blusa y la bolsa con un bordado brillante que Liz compro en Mexico ase unos anos atras.

A little reminder...

Sidekick- Miss Vintage

We bring you another Sol Sisters Sidekick segment! Mari was our very first Sidekick and we are happy to be showcasing another shoot we did with her!

As you can see from the post title this shoot was very 70's vintage inspired. We started off with these fun high waisted coral shorts and paired it with a neon yellow chiffon top to add a feminine feel. The accessories were kept to a minimal but we definitely needed to add our surprise factor with these fun leopard platforms!

Aqui les traemos otro segmento de Sol Sisters Sidekick!  Mari fue nuestra primera Sidekick y estamos muy contentas de poder compartir otra vez nuestra colaboracion con ella!

Como pueden ver este post tiene un toque vintage-epoca de los 70's y cuando recien nos dimos cuenta nos encanto la idea. La inspiracion para el look fueron estos shorts con cintura alta. Decidimos combinarlos con una blusa amarilla neon que tambien tiene un toque femenino. Los accessories se mantuvieron al minimo pero no sin primero agregar un toque sorpresa como estos plataformas de leopardo! 

Mari Gracias de nuevo, fue muy divertido!
