Professional Student

Hi everyone,
This is Liz trying to write some thoughts before I make myself go back to doing homework (aargh).
I have been a "professional student" for quite awhile. I finished my Masters degree last year and in my crazy mind I thought I was up to finishing a 6 class certificate after just finishing my MBA. I was so wrong!!! I am in my last class out of the 6 classes and I am SO worn out.  Even though I have been very fortunate to continue and further my education, I think I have gotten to the end of the rope where I really don't want to continue to be a student. I enjoy being a professional but not a professional student, and I think I'll leave it at that. I know I have to finish my last class but it is taking everything out of me to make myself get in front of the computer and work on my assignments. Do you guys have any tips on how to make a worn out student finish the last part of the race :)

Much Love

Liz~
---------------------------------------
Hola a todas!

Mucho amor

Liz

Boyfriend Jeans + Yellow Heels

In the spirit of celebrating that its officially fall we decided to throw on this very appropriate look! We had been shopping for the perfect staple pieces for fall and came across these fun boyfriend jeans, it was instantly  that we knew we had to shoot them next. The striped blouse was feminine and masculine all at once and the loose fit of it made so much sense when we threw the fitted blazer over it. Working with a black and white scheme, we were in need of some color and the yellow heels and clutch added the perfect amount.

Have you started preparing for fall? What do you think need to become a staple piece for fall?

What I wore:
Blazer/Saco: Forever 21
Blouse/Blusa: Forever 21
Boyfriend jeans: Forever 21
Heels/Zapatillas: Nine West
Clutch/Bolso: H&M

Cooler Days + Stripes

Hello All! We have had great weather these last few days and can already taste fall, unfortunately we have also lived in the valley long enough to know we actually have about a month left before we really feel the seasons change....in any case we are enjoying every bit of it while it lasts!

This look is such a great concept right now because it fits so well with the weather. The look can easily transition from a day to evening look in a setting where the days are still very warm and the nights are  much cooler. We started the look with this eye-catching stripped jacket. We definitely wanted to use color somehow so we opted to use it with this orange top, this allowed to showcase the high waisted  pants we paired it with. The shoes were our surprise factor because it was another way to add more color but also because of the great detail they have.

This was another outfit we got to shoot at this fun location our friend Maylene introduced us to....Are you like us desperately counting down the days to fall?

Hola a todas!

What I wore:
Jacket/Chamarra: H&M
Top/Blusa: Divaz Boutique (local)
Pants/Pantalones: Express
Shoes/Zapatillas: Backers

Urban Southwest!

Hello loves! We hope you are doing great this Monday! First of all, we just want to say "thank you" for all of your kind comments to the posts before this one. Your comments mean the world to us and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know your thoughts.
On to this outfit...Inez wanted to shoot at a rough kind of background. Our friend Maylene (see her posts here as one of the Sol Sisters Side kick-http://lizinezsolsisters.blogspot.com/2012/08/sidekick-maylene-in-paradise.html and http://lizinezsolsisters.blogspot.com/2012/08/sidekick-maylene-in-paradise.html) proposed a place close to her home and we loved the effect it gave to the overall outfit. Thank you May!
The outfit started off with the white skirt. We wanted the whole look to be fun, rugged, and have the Sol Sisters touch! We added the denim jacket to add texture to the fun skirt and also thought the mustard colored high heels added our element of surprise to the look. The accessories were few but bold
to not overload the outfit, just a unique necklace and the chunky marble ring.
Hope you like it~

Hola amores!
Gracias May!

Sidekick- Maylene in Paradise Part 2

Hi Everyone! Today we bring you the second part to the sidekick session we had with our dear friend Maylene! We have the opportunity to showcase her session from a trip we did with a close group of friends to a coastal town in Baja California, Mexico. You can check out her first session here Sidekick-Maylene in Paradise

With this look we wanted to maintain the relaxed feel you have while your on vacation. It was obvious we wanted to use color and the belt showcased on the dress was definitely our starting point! This belt was purchased by Liz during a recent trip to San Miguel De Allende, Mexico, its a beautiful beaded work of art done by hand by a local native woman there in San Miguel. We wanted the dress to feel casual enough for the setting but with the flexibility to be dressed up if you need it to be. The accessories were another opportunity to bring out more of the amazing colors in the belt.

Maylene we hope to have another opportunity in the future to work with you again, you were such a doll!

Hola a todas!
