THE SOL SISTERS STYLE- MR. LEE

Hello dolls!!!! Happy Sunday! Our most sincere apologies for being absent this past week. Inez and I have been tied up with other projects but definitely coming back with this last post which we love!!!. Also, on a side note...the Sol Sisters have a instagram account where we post our daily outfits and photos of what is going on in our day. Come on over, visit our account, and "follow" us :)

On to today's outfit! We started off the urban outfitters Bruce Lee t-shirt! We wanted the outfit to have an edygy-fun look. We added the metallic vest, the boyfriend jeans with the nice Kelsi Dagger heels. I have to say I love these black pumps, the detail on the side, the height of the heel, and the material overall make any outfit look better. The oversized leather clutch and earrings gave the final touches to the outfit. Share with us your edgy-fun looks of the season!

Remember to follow us on Instagram and Twitter! (The Sol Sisters)

Hola munecas! Vayan a visitarnos, y siguenos! :)

LET'S TALK- THE SCOOP ON SKINNY WRAPS

Hello dolls! We were approached by Skinny Wraps and asked if we wanted to try their body wraps and provide our honest feedback on the results we found. Inez and I tried the product and bring you today our honest opinion on the Skinny Wraps product. By talking to Rinda the Skinny Wrap distributor, she let us know of the different benefits we could see like tightening, toning, firming the skin, and even helps with cellulite and stretch marks. Inez and I were ready to give it a try and decided the areas to target on each of us. I decided to target my abdomen area and Inez chose to try the applicator on her chin. I have to be honest I did not know what to expect and was surprised when I saw the results. We are aware the results may vary from person to person but I was satisfied with what I found.
if you want to find out more about it don't hesitate to go to the website below
http://wewrap.myitworks.com/
My measurements at the beginning of the process-32 1/2 inches

The body wrap applicator-it had a natural smell, like if it were made out of herbs
Applied on my lower abdomen

We wrapped my abdomen with plastic and waited for 45 minutes.

Pleasently surprised to see I had 1 inch less :)

from 32 1/2 inches to 31 1/2 inches

Inez's chin  before  and after. We barely saw a difference on Inez's chin and don't think it made a difference like how we saw on my abdomen.

We have to say we had fun trying Skinny Wraps and looking forward to future opportunities where we get to try new products.

A TASTE OF MABELLA CHIC!

We get so excited when we walk away from an event where we know we just made a really great connection. This happened to Liz earlier this year when she met the lovely Mabel, the creative behind Mabella Chic, a line of unique pieces designed for the modern woman. Mabel is an emerging designer with such passion for creating fun and trendy pieces. Just this past summer she introduced her summer collection and we were excited when she approached us about collaborating. It is great to see that all we needed was the right timing to get to be creative together! The idea to feature her was a given but we wanted to do it in a way that would offer something to our readers so we decided what better way than to style one of her pieces the sol sisters way. We took the Ninette, a great body-con dress in white and blue stripe with a beautiful lace detail on the back and styled it in a way where you could easily take those summer items you didn't get enough of and wear them well into the fall season. Who else loves getting versatility in a piece?!

The first look was styled around a more casual/work appropriate look. During those fall days we get to experience bipolar temperatures and its nice to layer our clothing and easily adjust throughout the day. We paired the Ninette dress with this great bold crochet jacket and added neutral accessories to keep the look classic. The heels could easily be switched out for flats at the end of a work day to finish off the evening more comfortably.

Our second look is more fun and trendy. It is more appropriate for a night out or date night. We paired the Ninette dress with a faux leather moto jacket and studded ankle boots for a more edgy feel. The accessories including this oversized leather clutch compliment this versatile dress very well and carry it so easily into the night!

Next time your getting ready to put away all that summer clothes think twice about seeing how you can carry it into the next season by just adjusting some of the pairings. Perhaps some items are coming to you now....don't hesitate to reach back in and get them out again!!

We encourage you to head on over to Mabella Chic and check out what this fabulous lady is up to! Her Fall 2014 collection is just around the corner and we are so excited for it just from the teaser we got!

Mabel thank you for all your time and shared support...we look forward to our next creative session!

THE SOL SISTERS STYLE- STRIPES ON WHITE

You know how there are some items in your closet you try on and then immediately decide you don't want to wear it, well that has happened a few times with this white dress. Don't get me wrong I love it but its such an intimidating color for me. I don't know if its the fear of spilling something on it ( I do that way too often), the fact that my chest seems to look a little bigger in this color ( and I don't think I'm hurting necessarily) or the thought that it has felt a little too formal every time I consider wearing it. I have worn it in the past but as a skirt...(see that look here) but last week it finally happened I wore it for all to see!

We kept the look in a basic monochrome scheme and polished it up with this striped blazer and black accessories. Liz's son Ian is such a little model. He loves joining us for shoots and jumps in any chance he gets!

Do you have a challenging time wearing an all white piece?

ONE PIECE THREE WAYS- BLACK MIDI SKIRT

Its so nice to fall in love with a trend that doesn't feel like one. Don't you think? There is something so classic about the length of the midi skirt...I mean I just LOVE it!! Like many staple pieces in your wardrobe the midi skirt can so easily be dressed up for an elegant look or dressed down for a casual outing. Today I picked one in the ever popular black to create three different looks. You can never have too much black!!
I hope you are inspired to create a pairing of your own.

THE SOL SISTERS STYLE- ARMY PRINT ON BLACK

The sunsets seem to get prettier around here and the night's sky quickly follows. We love this time of year and being able to enjoy our neighboorhoods even more. We took a stroll in downtown the other evening and found a cute little area to snap some pictures of Liz's outfit and catch that sunset.

These army skinny jeans are such a great fit! The versatility that they offer to be dressed up or dressed down have us all excited for more of them as we get more into fall. This time around we decided to dress up the printed jeans and pair it with a embelished collar chiffon blouse and these super fun Kelsi Dagger patent pumps. The bag is the newest addition to the bag closet, a purchase done at the bran spanking new ZARA that just went in to Scottsdale Fashion Square. Its the first in the valley so we are so freaken excited!!!

Do you own anything army print in your closet?

PHOENIX FASHION WEEK 2013- VIDEO RECAP

What a fun journey it has been to experience Phoenix Fashion Week as a blogger for a second year in a row. Our journey to the big show started earlier this summer from meeting the emerging designers that would be introducing their collections, to the models that would showcase the pieces on the runway to getting to see first hand some of the amazing pieces at the Shop Garment District event! Liz just about died with a winter coat from one of the designers and just had to have it! We can't wait to share it with you once the weather is a little more cooperative. Overall seeing dreams being made is a great adventure to be a part of and we couldn't be happier with the memories we get to take with us and the new friendships we make along the way!

We leave you with a photo recap in video format of our weekend at Phoenix Fashion Week 2013.
Thank you to all who made us feel so special throughout the 2013 fashion season, we are so excited for what next year will hold!

FROM THE RUNWAY- HERBERT VICTORIA: EMERGING DESIGNER AT PHOENIX FASHION WEEK 2013

Herbert Victoria

Interview with the Sol Sisters

The Sol Sisters connected with the talented designer Herbert after presenting his collection at Phoenix Fashion Week. We have to say we were not disappointed. We love his funkiness, eclecticism, and tribal prints. An additional favorite of his collection is that he designs for women with curves and emphasizes women’s good attributes. Herbert is ready to take on the world and we couldn’t be happier for him. He wants to make a difference, stand for something, and working towards finding his voice in the Fashion and Political world. We asked him 5 questions where he was able to share with us his dreams, inspiration, and goals.

What are your favorite stores for inspiration and where would you want your collection to be sold at?
Definitely Urban Outfitters. Also Macy’s. The price point is around what my clothes are at and working towards getting my collection being purchased by one of the buyers (cross our fingers).

What is your current favorite fashion trend?
Jumpsuits. I noticed it has picked up now. I also love the original Levi jeans with the acid wash.

What are your plans for the future?
Build my brand. I want to tell a significant story with Herbert Victoria in the political world. Individually, I want to be known as a role model in the fashion and the politics.

What is the age group you are targeting in your designs?
27-35. I guess at 27 you are starting your career you have that significant salary and as you progress in your 30’s you get into travel. You are not quite yet in a relationship so I am honing into the career and travel aspect of my client.

What is your favorite season for fashion?
Summer. To be honest is less work. The material too is different because in summer you can wear a lot of prints, a lot of colors.
