When Rome...or Venice...or even Paris!!
Hello Lovelies! We hope that the new year is treating you all fabulously!!
We
are very excited to be sharing with you a series of special sidekick
sessions we did with our friend Maylene! We did some traveling to Europe
for the holidays and could not resist the idea of shooting some outfits
during our trip.
The shoots took place in Rome/Venice, Italy and Paris, France
This is the first of three shoots that we did on our trip-Rome.
This city if full of everything!! History, Beauty, Hope, Faith, Tradition and more...
It
was such an experience being there for Christmas that we had to take
advantage and style Maylene with an appropriate look for Christmas Eve
dinner!
We
wanted this look to be classic and modern all in one. It all started
with the gorgeous sequin jacket, the cut of it is fantastic and nothing
says holiday cheer quite like sequins does! We wanted to draw in the
classic elements so we paired the jacket with this gorgeous fitted knee
length Zara dress and adding a belt allowed us to create a more fitted
and feminine look by enhancing Maylene's waistline. The accessories were
just enough to add that "I'm ready to party vibe" we wanted it to
convey.

Hola Lindas!! Esperemos que el año nuevo las este tratando de maravilla!!
Estamos
super emocionadas de compartir con ustedes una series de sesiones de
sidekick que hicimos con nuestra amiga Maylene! Viajamos a Europa
durante los dias festivos y no pudimos resistir la idea de tomar fotos
de algunos outfits durante nuestro viaje.
Las sesiones fueron en Roma/Venezia, Italia y Paris, Fracia
Esta es la primera sesion de tres que hicimos durante el viaje-Roma.
Esta ciudad esta llena de todo!! Historia, Belleza, Esperanza, Fe, Tradicion y mas...
Fue
una experiencia unica el estar alli durante Navidad y aprovechamos para
crear un look que Maylene pudiera usar para la cena de Noche Buena!
Quisimos
que el look fuera clasico y moderno a la misma vez. Todo empezo con la
hermosa chamara de lentejuela, el corto de la chamara es increible y
nada dice Navidad como la lentejuela! Quisimos agregar elementos
clasicos al look por lo cual combinamos la chamara con un vestido de
Zara que es ajustado al cuerpo y hasta a la rodilla y agregamos un
cinturon para crear una silueta femenina al crear un enfoque a su
cintura. Los accessiorios fueron suffieciente para crear ese toque de
"estoy lista para clebrar" que qusimos envocar.

Our
experience in this magical city was memorable beyond what we could have
predicted...it was the shortest visit of our trip but it did not fall
short of impressive!
Since
the first time we visited the city we knew it couldn't be the last, the
labyrinth feel of their streets is full of shops and cafes that leave
you wanting to take in more and more of the unique looking city. During
this visit we went in to a great little Venetian mask shop with such
unique treasures we knew we had to include one in our shoot somehow...
The shop owner had as much fun as us picking the perfect one for Maylene to wear!
The
look for this shoot consisted of a favorite of ours...the tuxedo
blazer! We paired the blazer with a silk dress that showcased a
beaded neckline and hemline detail...just the right amount of bling! The
final details included the ankle strap bow heels, more bling in the
form of a beaded headband and a vibrant blue clutch for a fun pop of
color.

Nuestra
aventura en esta ciudad tan magica fue mas memorable de lo que pudimos
predicar...fue la visita mas corta de nuestro viaje pero no decepciono!
Desde
la primera vez que visite esta ciudad me imagine que no seria la
ultima, el laberinto de calles estan llenas de tiendas y cafés que solo
te dejan queriendo mas y mas de esta singular ciudad. Durante esta
visita entramos a una pequeña tienda de mascaras venecianas con tesoros
realmente unicos y no perdimos la oportunidad de incluir una pieza en
nuestra sesion...
El dueño de la tienda se divertio al igual que nosotras en escoger la mascara perfecta para Maylene!
El
look para esta sesion consistio de una de nuestra piezas favoritas...el
blazer estilo tuxedo! Combinamos el blazer con un vestido de seda con
detalles de piedreria en el cueyo y la bastilla...la cantidad perfecta
de brillo! Los detalles finales incluyeron unas zapatillas con moño, mas
brillo en forma de diadema y un bolso brillante de color azul.
Esperemos que disfruten "cuando en Venezia" tanto como nosotras...

Today we bring you the third and final part of our Europe series-Paris, France.
I
think Paris is one of those few cities in the world that everyone hopes
to visit one day...something about it just entices you and after you
have roamed its streets you can understand when people say no other
place can compare...
We fell in love all over again...with the architecture, their delicious pastries, the shopping and it's cafes
...just simply with the Parisian way of life!
We
were dying to use this hounds-tooth jacket this season so when it came
time to decide what to do in Paris we knew this was it! The structure of
the jacket is so fun and stylish that we wanted to play off that feel
with the whole look. We paired the jacket with the faux leather leggings
and some suede ankle boots for that fun feel. The infinity scarf and
bag add just enough color and texture to mix up the look.

Hoy les traemos la tercera y ultima parte de la series de Europa-Paris, Francia.
Creo
que Paris es una de esas pocas ciudades en el mundo al cual todos algun
dia desearian visitar...algo de ella te atrae y despues de que has
caminado sus calles puedes entender cuando las personas dicen que no hay
otro lugar que se compare...
Nos
enamoramos nuevamente...con la arquitectura, sus deliciosos postres,
lugares de compras, y los cafes...simplemente con su forma de vivir!
Nos
moriamos por usar esta chaqueta con diseño de hounds-tooth esta
temporada y cuando se llego el momento de decidir que vestir en Paris ya
la teniamos en mente! El diseño de la chaqueta es tan divertido y a la
moda que fue la combinacion ideal para seguir con el resto del look.
Combinamos la chaqueta con unos leggings de piel y botines para ese
toque divertido. La bufanda y el bolso añaden suficiente color y textura
para crear una mexcla ideal.
